Grand Adventure, indeed.

I've decided that I'm going to start laughing about it....
ya know... life.

Chip and I were up until about 2am preparing for the exterminator to kill the bed bugs with the kiss of death.
We woke up early to finish up.
We left the house around 10am.
Cat in tow. Wrapped up in Chip's manly scented shirt.
When we got outside- three of the four tires on Chip's car were flat.
They rotted.
We need new tires.
(The fourth tire didn't rot yet because it's only 3 years old- the rest were over 7 years old.) The only time we ever drive Chip's car is if we don't have kids with us- like when Chip's going to youth group or I'm running to Target at 9:30pm to get some ice cream.
I bring the cat to the cat sitter's house-only to find no sitter there. Due to miscommunication, she went to work. I was stuck with a cat all day long in 90 degree weather.
Chip and I ran to the storage unit to find his cat carrier- which has only been used once- the day we got him nearly 9 years ago.
I had to go to the chiropractor, my back went out due to stress.
Chip had to log in to work at the super loud, annoying, uncomfortable library- until 7pm- since he didn't get to log in until almost 11am.
So Instead of going to the zoo with friends to pass the day along- I went to a park- with my cat and four kids- and met friends there.
Dexter started puking.
My cat peed everywhere and wouldn't stop meowing. He's not used to life outside of under the bed/computer desk.
Alli sliced open her shin on something sharp.
No naps happened. (well, Miles dozed off for a brief minute..... )
Fast food picnic lunch.
Came home around 3:45 to air out the place for 30 minutes so we could actually go inside without dying from the fumes.... only to find that.......
THEY NEVER CAME TO EXTERMINATE!!!!
I called and raved and ranted- politely. Our office staff has a little ghetto fabulous snap snap attitude- so I didn't want to tick them off.... but ranted nicely enough that they came out- finally to spray.
We had to stay out of the house until after 7pm.
Maggie had to pee like non-other- and I ran to Michelle's mom's house (like mile from me) so Mags could pee, and I didn't have to leave my kids unattended at a gas station parking lot. As Mags got out of the car, her shoe completely broke. Yep- Maggie has no shoes.
Fast food picnic dinner. Bleh. My insides feel like a Taco Bell Burrito looks.
We went to yet another park to wait. Finn the cat wasn't pleased.
Not pleased at all.
My kids were so done with parks, they chose to sit on the ground and just look at the playground toys.
Miles had a complete, disastrous diaper blow out-- like the kind that can only be solved with a bath.
Got a call from a friend- and we went over to her house for the last hour and a half of the wait. Finn didn't like that, either. At least it was air conditioned.... he should have been happy about that. I know I was. I also got to bathe the boys. Whew. (Thanks, Erika.)

Today was one for the books.
I'm a little sad my camera was left in the house. I would have totally taken pictures of Finn's Grand Adventure outside. I probably would have written some sort of clever post about it. Sorry you missed it.
Although, I'm sure we were a sight to see..... a lady with two kids in a stroller, carrying a cat container that was meowing, hissing, and growling- and two angry girls walking beside her. I felt like a hobo- but with cleaner clothes.

And in two weeks...... we get to do this again.
I know you're jealous.

trials

Lately I've been so overwhelmed with the trials in my life, that it's hard for me not to be spiteful of other people in their tiny little powder puff trials.

I don't want to feel this way, and yet I do.

I have been mocking people. It's awful..... I know, this probably qualifies me as a bad person, but right now, I don't really care (I'll probably care tomorrow..... but today isn't tomorrow.)

I was taking a break from packing up the whole house- so I checked out what was on netflix. Bill and Giuliana sounded light hearted enough, so I decided to watch an episode or two. HOLY CRAP. "Trials." Ugg. Whatever. They were complaining about deciding that neither one of them wanted to give up their careers, so they were living in two separate cities- and then they'd have to hop on a plane (first class- with assistants.)to see each other and blah blah blah- and then the new townhouse that they built up from nothing- they were fighting over the lighting fixtures, the paint colors, how to decorate it- and getting really ticked off about it- and saying what a huge trial it was. And then after they got all moved into the brand new house- someone offered a LARGE sum of money for it, so they decide to move. And then they can't decide if they want to live in the city or the suburbs- so they go to check each location out. They were complaining about the suburbs- because the house was so large, and what would they do with the space.... and blah blah blah- and then to see if they wanted to stay in the city, they went shopping and tried on (and got) a bunch of $$$$ clothes and such- and were talking about how hard it would be to give up all the shopping. Whatever. It made me mock them so much. I hate seeing how hard the rich people have it. Settling their bets with Hermes scarves. I was starting to hate them just a little bit- so I looked up on line about them.... and they finally have a real struggle- infertility, which finally made them seem human. Was it bad that I was like "YES!" when I read they had a real trial?

I just want a powder puff trial for once. Something that yes, it's an inconvenience, but nothing that turns your life upside down. Like ya know what I mean??

Until then- I'll be sitting here packing up my entire place, sick- with 3 sick children and one not sick one in tow..... sleeping downstairs on air mattresses, as we don't have a bed, living out of one stupid Rubbermaid tote for the 6 of us for 7 weeks, and trying to get rid of these stupid bed bugs.

(sorry, I had to vent)

Back to Wedding.......

I'm taking a break from the bed bugs- They are totally driving me crazing right now. I'm also taking a break from my lovely cold that I acquired. Miles got it too.
I have a theory- The Lord wants me to be one of the most empathetic people ever- so he just throws things at me to see when I'll cry 'uncle'. So far, it's a toss up. While I want to cry 'uncle'- I can't exactly quit life, so I just keep trudging, and hoping that my thick skull will absorb what I'm supposed to be learning.

Fun Fact: You don't pronounce Reading, Pa like "I'm reading Breezi's blog right now". You pronounce the 'Read' part in past tense.... like- "I read an awesome blog post by Breezi"- and then add an 'ing' to it.

Fun Fact: The Reading Railroad on the Monopoly game board is the same railroad that is directly behind Chip's parent's house...... which means the entire time you were growing up and playing Monopoly, you were probably mispronouncing it.

Well. That was fun, huh?

Okay, back to the wedding post. All I can say is:
#1- Mom, I'm really sorry for dumping my entire reception on you and not really caring about any of the details. Like, Really, Really sorry.
#2- I am hiring wedding planners/caterers/cleaner-uppers for all of my children's weddings.

Friday was the day of the reception. It was a busy, busy day- chalked full of to-do lists and set ups. Chip and I got to run some errands together without children. It was almost magical. While we were at one of the stores, we parked next to this van:

It cracked us up. I guess the Hogar Cree place is a place where convicts can go and clean their lives up. (at least from the small details of what I got)

Ruthie- along with being the photographer was the sign/label maker for the event. She had some mad skills.
The babies loved looking out the front door- especially when Chip stopped to say 'hi' to them.

To keep the girls occupied, the little table got set up outside. Picnics, playing with beads, tea parties, and imagination were all part of the menu.

Chip and I got to blow up some balloons to place on the 'this way to the reception' signs. Dexter and Miles thought it was hilarious. (That's Dex at Chip's knee)

And Everything was brought up to the Pagoda. (If you want to read about the Pagoda's history- GO HERE)
Jeff and Zaikea chose bamboo silverware and palm leaves for plates. (I think- the details are a little muddy right now) They used wheat grass and slate slabs on the tables. It made for such a simple, yet stunning display.

The food was deluxe hotdogs, ambrosia salad, chicken tenders, & green salad.

The bride and groom before they cut into the cakes.

This was my favorite cake. Gnomes. Whee!!!

- So what Jeff and Zaikea did, was bought like 15 different sets of 'bride & groom' objects- Mr & Mrs. Potato Head, Luke Skywalker &Princess Leia, 2 dinosaurs, 2 lizards, Raggedy Ann and Andy, Barbie & Ken, Jessie and Buzz.....etc. (and on the females, they hot glued a bridal veil on them! So funny!)
They had different flavors of cake for each cake- and different styles of decoration for them too.
It was a fun idea.

When they first asked for the cakes to be made, they asked me to do fondant for them all- the only problem: All THREE batches of my fondant didn't turn out. I have no idea why. (I'm guessing humidity?) It really stressed me out- so we decided to do buttercream, and then realized that it would melt in the heat- so we had to find a stiffer frosting. We found it, and saved the day. :D As a group effort- we got all the cakes decorated. I LOVE the women in my family. Together we can make anything happen. :D

Jeff and Zaikea took a bite from each cake to let us know what flavor they were. :D

In each place setting- there was a mustache. They were awesome!! It made us feel very, um..... British. I have no idea why, but British accents were flying around the room whenever the mustaches were in place. Hahaha! Seriously, it made me want a real English accent. (I have a stupid honkey one..... not cool at all.)

*Truth be told: I was jealous of Sarah's mustache. It was made from sparkle felt. It was so fancy.

The babies loved my necklace. So did I. It was originally like $30- I got it for $6! (the clerk wrote the wrong clearance price on it.... and the store honored it!... Woot!)

I love watching Chip walk around with the boys- one in each hand.

Alli was so tired after the party was over. I can't blame her. She partied hard.

---------------------------------------------
The next morning we lounged around a bit. Patsy bought all of the grown-up kids tickets to see Green Lantern in 3-D. It was a fun group date! If I must say so, we looked stunning in our 3-D glasses. Hot.

Chip and I also got to go on a quick date to Five Guys Burgers and Fries. It was my first time there. YUM. (We have one like a mile from us, and yet, somehow, I never ate there. I will be a frequent flier for sure!)
-------------------------------------------

Sunday we left. Boo. It was hard to leave all the family. The kids were begging to stay. :(

Maggie decided that Ruthie was a great body pillow. They were watching Sponge Bob together.

We had a quick b-day party for everyone who's birthdays were in December-June. It was a get-er-done moment :D

The boys got these um- LOUD- I mean, wonderful trucks. They LOVE them and know how to work all the buttons. The babies probably press the collective four buttons at least 100 times per day. Thanks Patsy and Nunnums for them...... as well as all the extra batteries. We'll be sure to use them.

I much prefer the gifts the girls got: Barbies, notepads, little treats...... stickers..... ya know, batteries not required items. :D

Then we quickly shoved everything into the car- where we proceeded to make the 7 hour turned 10 hour drive back home. I love traveling with kids. Not.
------------------------------------------------------

now off to switch out the never ending pile of laundry. I think I'm up to like... 30 loads left. *sigh*

Stupid bed bugs.

Cosmic Joke

Interrupting the scheduled wedding post to bring you crap.

If you don't like a woe-is-me post with a little humor- this probably won't be a post that you'll like.
--------------------------------------------------

Do you ever feel like the heavens are looking down and laughing at you? Like your life personally inspires the Angels to be in so many fits of giggles that it causes the heavens to shake so violently that massive thunder storms and tidal waves happen spontaneously around the world? Yeah. That would be my life.

We got home from Pennsylvania on Sunday night.

Monday night we found an unwanted house guest. Very, Very unwanted.

I'd like you all to meet Larry the Bed Bug.

If he likes you, he'll take a nibble.

See........

This was one night's worth of feasting.

They itch like a motha'. and by motha'.... I mean, holy freaking bad!

We searched around our bed and didn't find any bugs. None. No where on the top of our mattress in the seams. That's where I thought you were supposed to look. I was certain that it was bed bugs that were the cause of my new arm candy status. I had a feeling that I needed to lift up my bed skirt and check out the seams of our box springs. and BAM. There was Larry-- and his family- getting all chummy like in my mattress box springs. Rude. I never invited them over. There were less than 2 dozen of them. (well, adult ones....)

After freaking out like a little girl- I demanded that Chip throw out the bed. Buh- Bye. So at 11:45pm on Monday night- our bed went the way of all mattresses- in the trash. I wasn't too incredibly sad- we've been sleeping on the mattress I've had since 10th grade. Yeah- a little old to say the least. (I vacuumed the seams before we threw out the mattress- that way those little eggs wouldn't bump, bump, bump down our stairs and fall off only to infest everything....)

We vacuumed upstairs like crazy- read all the internet had to say about our new guests- shuddered and got totally grossed out- and then went downstairs to sleep. I got the couch. Chip got the floor.

The next morning, I looked out at the dumpsters..... to find... nothing. Yep. nothing. Someone took our mattress from the dumpster. Aren't they going to get a big surprise. I called the apartments to let them know about the infestation. They let us know that they hire an exterminator for us.... Yay! ..... but they won't come until next Thursday.... Boo!

Tuesday afternoon, Finn went to stay at his Auntie Erika's house- and we bombed the crap out of this place. Die vermin, DIE! I just couldn't go another day knowing I didn't try to poison them.

Bed Bugs are nearly indestructible. From everything I've read they can live for 12-18 months without eating. Gross. Gross. Gross. Also- by doing some more research- did you know that out of the whole United States- Columbus is #7 on the cities that has the most bed bugs? Awesome, huh?

Needless to say I'm sooooooooooo grossed out right now.

Today I got a notice from our complex giving us our 'to-do' list before the exterminators. Basically we have to do the following:

Pack our entire apartment into black plastic bags after washing/drying everything in super hot heat. I have to take everything off the walls and put them into plastic bags with moth balls. I have to take every single electronic item and put them into plastic bags with moth balls for 72 hours (or until they say it's okay) after the exterminator comes. I have to move every bit of furniture in the house 3 feet away from the walls. This is just for the first time the exterminator comes-

Everything needs to stay in those bags for 2 weeks- when the exterminator will come again and examine his job. ..... and then he'll treat it again. And all our stuff will have to stay in those bags in the middle of the floors...... again. AND THEN- they can come and inspect this place any time they want to without prior warning that they'll be coming.

ohh.... and if we don't follow everything on the 2 page list of instructions exactly- then we get billed for the exterminator's visit.

I'm so excited.

Ohh- and did I also say that on top of all of this- Chip's hard drive on the computer he just built a few months ago died...... and although he has everything backed up- this is the computer all his Telesaur stuff is on.... and we can't turn on the stupid computer.

Ohh- and did I also mention that I have a week to pack up the entire house? With 4 kids? And the only person (Michelle) who's ever watched my 4 children for more than 30 minutes- MOVED TWO AND A HALF HOURS AWAY last week? (rude, right?)

ohh- and did I mention that I'm going a little bit crazy and shaking my fists randomly at the heavens and uttering nonsensical words that may or may not sound like swearing?

Did I also mention that my skin randomly itches all over just thinking about these stupid bugs?

Sigh.

In my life's pattern- it usually turns to utter and total crap- like everything falling around me..... and then big ol' blessings pour out as a little "well done, you made it through the stupid trial" treat.

It better be a stinkin' big treat.

Like Telesaur 'poof' big.

The Wedding Day

The whole reason that we were went to Reading, Pa was to see Chip's youngest brother, Jeff get himself hitched to his lovely gal, Zaikea.

Chip and I left Wednesday night to be there for the wedding on Friday. The plan was that Chip would only need to take Friday off and that he'd telecommute on Thursday from Penn State's campus (Chip's dad works at Penn State). We got told around 3 pm that the wedding had been moved from Friday night to Thursday night at 6pm. (Thank goodness we got there in time!)..... AND.... Chip got told around 4pm that Jeff and Zaikea wanted him to speak at the wedding. Awesome. (lucky for him that he's good on his feet!)

So with minimal prep time- we finally left for the church. Late. Yep. Jeff was about 10 minutes late to his own wedding. (We Kohrman's are nothing if not late.)

Jeff and Zaikea decided for the wedding part to be a little more intimate- so it was parents and siblings only who attended the wedding. The Bishop who was officiating requested that no photos were taken of the actual ceremony- so of course, we honored his request. Chip's sis Ruthie was the 'official' photographer- but Zaikea's sister and I also took lots of pictures :D

Molly (Chip's sis) made this beautiful cake for the actual wedding. The bride and groom wanted something extra fancy- so Molly made a dark chocolate cake with fresh cherry puree' in it- and a fresh cherry and sour cream frosting on top- drizzled with chocolate ganache. If I liked chocolate/fruit combo- I think it would have been to die for.. I know it was pretty to look at :D

Jeff and Zaikea sitting together before getting married. They were so sweet and nervous. Jeff and I had to run to Target for some last minute wedding stuff about an hour before the ceremony- and I got to have an awesome conversation with him. I sure love that guy.

Jeff and Zaikea chose to have this as their opening song. It was lovely.

Chip and I decided that the babies don't like prayers. During every single prayer they were talking and fussing very loudly. They didn't mind the actual ceremony- but the prayers must have upset their stomachs. They should learn to tolerate it better-- as we are a prayin' family. :D They'll get lots of practice.

After the ceremony. Jeff and Zaikea are such an adorable couple. Jeff was hugging his mom and Zaikea was hugging her dad. So sweet.

Jeff has had a long rough road to cross in his short 21 years on this earth. He got sick 2 years before I joined the family- and has been sick ever since- last summer he even had his lower intestine removed- (I told ya.... it's been rough.) Seeing him marry the girl of his dreams and fulfill his dream to have her as his wife- it was very touching. They are nauseatingly adorable together.

Introducing Jeff and Zaikea Kohrman!!

The cutting of the cake.

(the flowers on the table were from around Zaikea's house- and the flowers in the bouquet were from around Jeff's house- They were so beautiful!)

Zaikea's family (and our girls).
After this point the babies had reached their 'fun' limit for the day. So I wasn't able to get any pictures of the families outside when we were posing.... darn it.

I'll do another post about the cakes and the reception. Ohh yeah- It's a 2 part love story. ;D

------------------------------------------------------------------------

Ruthie has posted some sneak peeks of the wedding and reception on her photography blog. Check um out!

.... and if you want to check out some family pictures- Check out her personal blog

The Walkers

I shot some video for family (or anyone who cares) of the babies walking. They are wearing their swagger suits that Grammy and Papa got them for their birthday. Those babies are handsome little devils.

The video was shot at the Pagoda in Reading, Pa- where the reception was. It was a beautiful location, for sure!

Enjoy. :D

P.s. Yes, I know that the 'E' was left off of June- however it would take me so long to fix it I decided it wasn't worth it :D

Alive

We made it, and we're alive.

A 7 hour drive turned 10 hours long.

Duel crying babies. (most people wish for duel airbags.... we got duel crybags.)

Big girls playing with glow sticks in the back seat (Heaven bless the Target dollar bin- that they may always be full of glow sticks)

I had to stop and pee more times than the kids did.

Listening to a old fashioned romance novel on CD while Chip was gagging and giggling next to me. "and it was done" <- a line from the book after they made love. hahahaha!

Planning our first dream vacation after 'poof' happens. (no kids- somewhere warm with beautiful water- a spa treatment. ahhhhhhh)

Talking about the new face of Telesaur (Chip re-did the home page this week- go and check it out! http://www.telesaur.com ) <- Tell others! Spread the word! Make 'poof' happen!

PA turnpike raised their rates from $12.50 to $16.50. It's not fair. The turnpike sucks.

Waking up to no babies- they had already been taken by their aunt Ruthie. :D

Playing with Brian and Sarah and Ruthie and Nunnums and Patsy.

Jeff not at the house. He's at their new apartment.

Chip's working at Penn State today to get away from all the noise a house full of people makes. (His dad is a big guy at Penn State. We have connections.) Telecommuting rocks. You can work from anywhere.

I have to go now..... many, many cakes to decorate.

Alter Ego

Okay, Okay- I know I've always put my foot down firm and said that my name is without a doubt Breezi. Breezi isn't a nick name- it's my real name.

It's true. It's my real name..... however I have another name. I've never been forthcoming about it. I don't even think my parents know my other name.

I'd like you to meet:
Yes. My other name is Elaine Schmoel.

It all started 9-point-something-ish years ago. Chip and I were newly married. We were so in mushy-gushy-wushy-love (enough to make others throw up) and we wanted to show everyone how in love we were- One of those ways was to get some new scriptures with my brand spankin' new last name engraved on them. The problem? Well.... we were broke, so we were looking for a cheaper option. That option was to buy an 'oopsie printed' set of scriptures and have a new brass plaque engraved and attached to that oopsie print.

We found Elaine's set of misprints and snatched them up.

The bookstore we bought them at gladly printed a name plate for us "Breezi Kohrman" (giggle, giggle... so official!). I slapped that plate on the book and promptly admired the shiny brass color........... unfortunately I have the bad habit to pick things. Slowly, ever so slowly, pick by pick I made that little name plate so unsticky it was just floppin' around there, until I finally decided to take off my new married name plate. (This process took only a matter of a few weeks)

I decided Elaine wasn't too bad of an alter ego name. So I kept it.

And that's the story of how I became Elaine Schmoel.

------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
(I thought I should document this, in case I ever lose my scriptures. I read recently on facebook that someone found a set of scriptures randomly in an odd location and they were searching for the owner. So.... now if someone finds an Elaine Schmoel set, they know who it belongs to. )

Fine Arguement

See this cute couple oogling each other as if they are the only ones in the entire world? That would be Chip's youngest brother Jeff and his lovely lady, Zaikea. They are gettin' hitched on Friday!

Chip and I are trying to make lists, check them twice, and make sure everyone and everything that we need to get in the car will be in there by the time we leave.

- Cake decorating stuff....
- Cinnamon Rolls, bran muffins, and other yummy food....
- High Chairs......
- Clothes.....
- Clothes for the wedding.....
- Diapers....
- etc...........

As I was discussing with Chip the things that I need to bring he said "Don't forget to bring your diet soda".
I had been thinking of it. I'm a slight addict to diet dr. pepper and cherry coke zero and even the plain ol' diet coke.
Me: "Your parents usually have diet soda"
Chip:"Yes, they do- but it's not the kind that will make you not a grump."
Me: "I can probably go a few days without caffeine Chip, I'll be fine".
Chip:"I vote for reality."

He won that argument.

Well played.

------------------------------------------------------------------
P.s. Did I mention that Chip's sister Molly and I will be decorating over a dozen wedding cakes of various flavors and sizes?...... Did I also mention that these 14-15 cakes need to be all decorated and ready to go in like 12 hours time? I will need that diet fully caffeinated soda.

P.P.s- Chip's other sis Ruthie took some lovely pictures of Jeff and Zaikea- their bridals and groomals (her word, not mine). Check them out over at her photography blog!

Bath Time

(Miles and Alli)

Around here everything has to be assembly line style. This includes bath time, getting dressed, and clipping nails. If it doesn't go in order- it doesn't get done. (and a lot of things don't get done.)

Whenever it's my turn to clean children- the easiest way (aside from a hose) that I have found- it to stick one baby with one big girl in the tub at a time. While one set is getting scrubbed and polished- the other big girl is watching the other baby. Supposedly it makes since in my head. (Chip does two babies at once- and than one girl at a time.... but then he gets to deal with it.) I figure when it's my turn, my rules- and until the girls start protesting this is how it'll be done. As of right now the girls love playing in the tub with their brothers.

There's only one problem. Do you see it?

Polly Pocket dolls, Polly Pocket boats, Barbies galore, and My Little Pony. That's what my boys have to play with in the tub.

Poor boys.

Butterflies

Last year for Maggie's birthday - Uncle Scott and Aunt Leah got her a really cool butterfly kit from Insect Lore...... unfortunately for us- the girls took out the butterfly house from the box and we had no idea what happened to the ordering the caterpillars information.....

Fast Forward 9 months when we found the ordering information in a random book.

We quickly ordered the cute caterpillars. They came about 6 weeks later. In a jar filled with food sludge. 5 creepy crawly caterpillars. The kids just giggled with delight watching them. The instructions said they would be caterpillars for about a week- hang upside down for 2 days- be in a chrysalis for 5-7 days- and live for 2 weeks as butterflies. (Isn't that a depressing life span?)

Our group of five little caterpillars were on speed. They stayed caterpillars for 2 days- hung upside down for 12 hours- were in their chrysalis for 3 days- and we released them the next day to munch on beautiful flowers to their little hearts content.

Silly me- I forgot to take a picture of them while they were still caterpillars...... but I remembered to take a picture of them in their chrysalis' after the first butterfly hatched. (which is why one of them is empty.)

I loved watching these little guys (or gals?) wiggle into their little chrysalis state- and then the next day the chrysalis was covered in little metallic gold flecks. It was beautiful!

This was our first butterfly 'born'. I think I'm going to name him George. (insert that old Looney Tunes Bugs Bunny/Abominable Snowman episode of "I'm going to call him George. I will rock him, and hug him, and love him......." )

After the caterpillars wrapped up in their little chrysalis', we set up them up next to Jewel the fish- for a little more peace and quiet (well, quieter than being on the kitchen table). She really wasn't sure what to think of them. She kept hovering around the side of the tank looking in on the butterflies. I told ya, I have a smart fish. I wonder if she wanted to try flying..... I need to ask her.

After all of the butterflies hatched- I got really tired of looking at their sad little depressed faces. They just looked like they were missing life. - the girls agreed.

We decided to 'free willy'.

Maggie got the first turn, since it was her present.
She giggled as the butterfly wings tickled her hands.

Alli really wanted a turn too- so she ended up escorting two or three of the butterflies into the real world.
I got this picture of the last little butterfly. I think it's my favorite.

And here are the remains of the little butterfly chrysalis'.

I am totally saving the cage and ordering another set of caterpillars next year. The kids loved watching these little guys- and I must confess, I did too.(I even used it as an excuse to not blog- so it must have been entertaining.) They lived on our kitchen table- and they were an excellent dinner conversation piece.

If you see a little orange butterfly floating around- just call him George, and know he was loved.
