Names

Back in July, I had a blog post all about my feelings on having a 'unique' name. (Click Here if you are curious or want a refresher course)

I'm bring this up for one of two reasons:

#1- Chip and I are trying to figure out names for these two boys. I have no idea how with each baby before we had 2 boy names and 2 girl names that we went to the hospital loving.... and yet we can't figure out what to call one of these guys. We know his middle name will be Patrick, we know his last name (obviously), but his first name is just not happening. We start liking one name and a few days later it doesn't feel like "it".
If anyone knows any good names you'd like to suggest for a little boy we are SO open for suggestions.
(Keep in mind: Chip DOES NOT like 'trendy' names, and makes fun of them- a lot. Before I even knew Chip, when I was little, I really liked the name Ashton for a boy (WAY before Ashton Kutcher was famous... btw....). After we got married and found out (3 months later) that we were expecting our first baby, I suggested Ashton as a naming option. Chip's reply: "That name sounds like it should be a horse blanket!". I don't get it either.... but just be warned, Chip won't consider any 'horse blanket' names.)

#2-
Chip and I got a letter from Alli's school that made us giggle and do a little happy dance. The letter stated (sniff, sniff) that Alli's principal will no longer be serving at her school. The only part that made us sad was that the letter also informed us that she will be finishing out the school year. We've had a hard time dealing with her principal. The only time she ever stepped up to actually help or talk with us is when we had the issue with bullying. Other than that... this woman is a bonafide (ghetto) battle axe. She isn't exactly a 'class act'.

We were really excited reading this letter....... until we got to the end of it, when it announced the name of the incoming principal. Her name is Shawanna.
From first impressions of just reading her name; we are thinking not much will change at the school- it just doesn't inspire much confidence.

(See..... it is important what you name your kids. lol )

Current Like List

I just wanted to do a post about my current 'likes' in my life.
It seemed like a fun thing to do.

#1 would have to be yoga pants. If you happen to bump into me around town, I will be sporting one of three pairs that I own. To heck with maternity jeans.... yoga pants are so comfy!

#2 -(keep in mind that from here on out they are in random order).... is Mario Kart Wii. Holy fun! Chip, Alli, Maggie and I are always playing this. You can run into cows and penguins. What other game offers such amusements?
If it would only play better music..... I'm already a little tired of hearing it.

#3- I took a chance at the library on Friday when I saw this movie in the rack. We watched it for Family Movie night. Chip and I haven't laughed so flippin hard over a kids movie in a long time. Hil-arious! It's got so many famous people that are doing the voices. Jay Leno, John Cusack, John Cleese, Sean Hayes, Molly Shannon, Jennifer Coolidge.... ohh man, the list goes on. It's funny. You should see it.

#4- If you have never used one of these bad boys, I suggest you go to your closest store and get one. It works awesome... plus your clothes smell so yummy and dryer fresh- even if it's left in the dryer for a few days...oops. My only beef with it is that with some fabrics- it does leave a little static cling- but not so much that I'm going to stop buying it.

#5- My newest addition to my punch family. My Butterfly punch.
I'm loving it. I'm making such fun cards with my scraps out of this punch. Way fun!
(Photo by Ali Edwards. She is one of my favorite scrapbook guru's.)

#6- Cherry Coke Zero. Ohh how I love you right now. Cool, Crisp, Fruity, Cola-lishous, and bubbly. Top you off with a nice ice cube or two and you are perfect to my taste buds.

Hope this list inspires you to make a 'like list' of your own.

Hairy Friay

Little Miss Maggie Moo decided that she wanted to be a hairdresser (for the third time in 2 weeks), enough that we had to bite the bullet... as she was no longer considered a delight to view in public, and I took her to Cookie Cutters. (A hair dresser's that specializes in doing kid's hair.)

Notice the lovely bangs that she half way gave herself?

The charming Ferrah Fawcett fly away wings (on both sides).

And the end result.
I'm no exactly pleased with the finished hair style, but the tech did as much as she could to make Mags look presentable. Let's just say Maggie won't be in public without hair clips anytime soon.
At least she enjoyed her first visit to an actual hair cutter's.

(On a funny side note: Does Maggie remind you of another red head wearing a white fur coat?)

(If you didn't get the reference: This is Victoria- She is an evil vampire on Twilight...)

Next up on the Hairy fun was Alli.

She has been bugging me since before Thanksgiving to get her hair cut again. I've been trying to prolong the experience... as her hair will be so much easier in the summer if I can just pull it in a pony and be done with it. When Alli saw Maggie's hair was cut, the only justice she could find was if I took her to get her hair cut too.

Great clips is a little cheaper and closer to home, (and it didn't have a wait time either).... so off we went after school.

Alli kept telling me she wanted her hair cut at the bottom of her ears. I didn't want to go that short. After looking at some books we chose a style that we could both agree on.
(before, notice how long the hair is getting)

This is Alli's after.
It's not like the picture was, but I attribute that to thick hair and a natural tendancy for her hair to turn under on it's own.
Even though she knew that she wanted short hair- she has since said this is a little too short.
Ohh well. Hair grows. Thankfully.

Agenda tonight: Cutting Chip's hair for him.

Ultrasound

My grandma keeps telling me that she has had a lot of dreams lately that there is going to be a little girl that pops out of me as well...... I keep telling her that it must be Scott and Leah's baby playing with my twins. (Scott and Leah aren't pregnant {that I know of...}, BUT they are Chip and my only siblings with the marriage license to reproduce right now.... so it's the only logical explanation.)

My doctor is wanting me to have at least one ultra sound a month due to my twin carrying card member status. Today was my day. I decided I'd have the ultrasound tech go on a scavenger hunt to see if there is the mysterious girl in my grandma's dreams hiding out in my uterus.

Maggie went in with me to 'see the babies', She was a little bummed out when we got into the ultrasound room, the lady squirted goo all over my stomach, and then turned out the lights. Maggie thought she'd be REALLY seeing the babies today, not just seeing wiggles on a monitor. Ohh well. She was, however, not disappointed with the contents in the lollipop basket before and after the ultrasound.

After the ultrasound was concluded I called and told him the news.
"Are you sitting down?" I asked him. A slow "Yes" was the response.
"Good. I have some news, " I said. "We're having twins."
There was an audible sound of relief that left his mouth. I think if the tech did find another little one in there.... it just might be more than Chip and I can handle.

On that fun note.... I'll let you see pictures of these handsome monkey/alien/parasite/acrobat guys of mine.

The top ultra sound is of baby A. He's laying face up. You can see his face and his arms and legs tucked up. This is the little monster who is laying across the entire bottom of my uterus, kicking my bladder. He's weighing in at a whopping 1lb 15oz.

The bottom ultrasound is baby B. His bum is on Baby A's head on the right side of my body.... and his head is nestled lovingly in my ribs. He likes... no LOVES to stretch tall. The ultrasound is showing his profile. You can see his rather large round tummy on the right side of the image. He's weighing in at 2lbs even.

Right now both of these guys are weighing/measuring the exact same as their singleton counterparts would at this gestational age. This is making me a little nervous. Alli was 7lb 4oz, and Maggie was 8lb 3 oz. If these guys follow in Maggie's footsteps, I will end up with 16 lbs of pure baby in me. Chip lovingly said that he'd need to purchase a wheelchair in order to get me into the car to take me to the hospital. I told him that he needed to work on his squats and endurance.... as he'd be giving me piggy back rides everywhere.
This is going to get fun.

I have decided that if my tummy is pushed out as though there were 12 volleyballs in there, I might just be brave and take pictures of my battle scars, aka: stretch marks.
I think I've earned them.

(I'm just hoping that my stomach won't look as scary as Octomom's did when she was ready to deliver..... that looked painful!)

Snippets

- Today I learned that no matter how much you talk to your three year old about not cutting their hair (again) they still find a fascination with it..... and give themselves bangs.

- Today I remembered how much sneezing is my enemy.

- Today I revisited the delights of childhood, as I had graham crackers and milk as a snack. Yum.

- Today I am thankful for getting some scrappin' groove back. I was able to make about 2 dozen cards.... out of my scraps (that was in a huge pile!..... more to go).

- I am thankful for listening to my books on tape (thanks to the wonderful Valentines Day gift that Chip got me). Ted Dekker never fails me. Man! That guy is a good writer.

- Today I'm NOT thankful that they are calling for more snow in the forecast, however if Columbus gets 3 1/2 more inches- we could break the 100 year old record for Most Snow in February- (If we hit it, we will have gotten 29.3 inches of snow in the past 24 days.......) So I guess that could be cool. (Although this snow better melt... pronto.)

- I'm thankful that Chip's mom e-mailed him last night saying she and Uncle Jeffie would be here this weekend! Ohh how I love when they come.

- I am thankful that both of my girls have come up to me randomly today to tell me how excited they are for the babies to get here. They can't wait.

- I am thankful that in 13 1/2 weeks I'll be able to see my toes again. (Although, It'll probably be with sleep crusted eyes.)

- Tonight I was thankful to hear Chip and the girls playing our newest Wii game, Mario Kart. They were so cute to listen to! Who knew (princess) Peach was so popular?

- Tonight I am thankful for Icy Hot. I should become a spokes person for them. My knees, back, and calves share in my gratitude. My cat, however, does not. He refuses to even get near me.

- Today I'm thankful that telling your children that broccoli will make them toot, actually gets them to eat the broccoli.

- Tonight I'm thankful for wet (and a little dirty) kisses from the girls - along with head lock style hugs.

- Today I sat in dread trying to think of names for these babies. We've got one down, but the other- heck... he might just be No-Name Kohrman. There have been a few names we've been toying with, but then they don't seem right after a few days. I should look at our family history. I know there are some doozies of names. :) If for anything else, it'll be good for a laugh.

- I am also thankful for the power of prayer and the comfort it gives.

- I am thankful that while I was driving with Mags this morning to the grocery store, a song from my childhood came on the radio, and reminded me of sweet memories of dancing on my dad's boots when I was younger.

- Basically, There is just so much to be thankful for, so many lessons to be learned, so many memories to cherish- Isn't life wonderful?

May you remember all of the little joys of your day- It'll perk you right up. :)

Identity and Storks

The past few weeks I have been struggling finding my identity.

I thought I was Breezi.
Wife of Chip.
Mother of Alli and Maggie.
Part time teller.
Expecting another baby.
Laundress, chef, taxi driver and crafter.
Friend.

But in just 5 simple and small weeks I have become just:
Pregnant with twins.

I know that most people are a bit obsessed with my uterus contents. I know they are only obsessed because they are so excited. They are excited because most people never get to experience having two living beings growing inside of themselves. They want to share in the experience with me.

While I have no problem with that, I do however, have an issue with the fact that ever since my status has been shortened to "Pregnant with twins", there are only a handful of people who can actually talk to me about things outside of my uterus. Normally people ask all about the babies, how much they are moving/stretching/kicking, my ever expanding belly and then the conversation has an uncomfortable silence as the other person tries to contemplate what else they could possibly talk to me about... and then it just gets hugely awkward.

I put as my facebook status that it was like announcing your engagement in a singles ward.
That is the only thing people can focus on. They forget who you were before the engagement. The YOU that you knew before disappears, just like magic.

One positive comment that I got out of that status post was by my friend (and also a mother of twins herself) Summer.
"Oh- and there's a shift once they're on the outside. Right now, everyone you KNOW is talking about it. After they're born, the novelty has worn off for people you know, but perfect strangers want to know EVERYTHING- twins in the fam, how they were conceived....etc. The fun is just beginning! You need never be bored in a grocery checkout line again"

A light bulb went off.

I decided that instead of my uterus status being some sort of "curse" (for lack of a better word), I could totally spin this into a positive. I hope people ask me some crazy questions. I can't wait. I hope some nosy old lady wants to know which positions were used to conceive the twins. I bet I could make up some fun stuff. :) I just hope this pregnant brain of mine can come up with witty responses to any inquiry of any sort.

I got this e-mail today explaining where twins come from.
I thought it was pretty funny.
The e-mail contained just one picture:

I thought I could totally use it.

(If anyone has any fun suggestions of responses I could use when strangers start getting nosy, I would LOVE the tips.)

Olympian

This morning as I was getting ready for church, it dawned on me that the Olympics are currently missing one sport. Such a sad day. I have been practicing the sport on and off for the past 7 1/2 years. I feel I can finally qualify to compete against others in this missing event.

The event?

Putting on Pantyhose while Pregnant.

Now, I'm completely serious, and I think I have some valid points and reasons as to why this should be considered an Olympic sport (Although, I am not sure if it would fall under The Winter Olympics or Summer Olympics.)

Putting on pantyhose requires strength, energy, flexibility, finesse, stamina, perseverance, and a certain ability to look like a fool, all the while accomplishing greatness.

Not only is putting pantyhose on a challenge, but finding maternity pantyhose is also a task.
For those of the curvier variety (aka plus size), it is quite difficult to locate suitable pantyhose (Not to mention pretty much all other maternity attire). When one achieves success in finding the hose it brings forth the same happiness as finding a $10 bill in last year's coat pocket. You almost feel like Superman.

I think that putting on pantyhose while pregnant would actually be a fun sport to watch. I have yet to decide which background music for the sport would be most suitable;
A) Some sort of Viking war song that would inspire greatness.
B) A graceful arrangement of Mozart that would inspire poise.
C) The same music often heard at Rodeo's promoting a wild ride.

No matter what the music would be, I can imagine what the commentators would be saying.
Commentators will be played by Bill and Sue. Bill is a chauvinistic news anchorman, and Sue is the ditzy counterpart with the same voice as Barbie.

Bill: Here we are again at the 8Th annual Pantyhose while Pregnant Olympic Event. The athletes have trained long and hard.
Sue: The sponsor day's event is brought to you by Motherhood Maternity. They have supplied the truckloads of support hose used by the athletes, and by Sally Hanson for providing the clear nail polish with diamond strength that stops those dreaded runs.
Bill: Our First Olympian is Barbara of St. Louis. She is the mother of 4 and is currently sporting a baby bump gestating at 28 weeks. Barbara's husband/coach is on the sidelines giving her a pep talk as we speak.
Sue: I like her choice of the red pantyhose. So bold. I hope she can pull this off.
Bill: The starting whistle has been blown, she's off! Wow! Look at how amazingly fast Barbara is at unpackaging those hose! She's got that cardboard insert out in a flash. She starts by placing her hands in the hose to gather them in a bundle before stepping her right leg in the hose. Yes! One leg in folks, one leg in. She quickly starts bundling the left leg of the hose, such speed and finesse! She's putting the toes of her left leg in and....... wait! Barbara's crying Charlie Horse folks... leg cramps. Will this one pass quickly enough for Barbara to still be in the running for a medal?.....(time passes)...... YES FOLKS (crowd cheering wildly), She's up and at um'! It looks like she's got that Charlie Horse tamed. She continues to to put that left leg in the hose, pulls it up. Now for a difficult part, getting the hose over the bum and belly bump.
Sue: Barbara's signature 'hoola-hoop' move is sure a crowd pleaser tonight, Bill!
Bill: Yes, Sue, it sure is. Alright, it looks as though Barbara has the hose up and over her belly, and right under her bra line.
Sue: Barbara's time of 5 minutes and 24 seconds is sure to guarantee a medal placement.
Bill: The judges are currently examining Barbara's hose.
Sue: She does look great in those red pantyhose, doesn't she. So graceful and gazelle like.
Bill: We're getting word that,...... that...... NOOooo. It seems that Barbara has been disqualified from the event due to a rip in the hose, I repeat, she gets no points for that performance.
Sue: That's so sad. I bet she'll be back next year to compete.
Bill: I don't think so Sue, her husband swore no more children. She is going to have to retire from the games.
Sue: Too bad. Barbara was one of the greats. She will be missed my millions of her fans.

(This is making me upset.... my italics now won't un-click..... grrrr....)

Doesn't that sound like something we can all watch and get hours of entertainment out of? Does anyone know where the 'Suggestion Box' is at the Olympics?

Icicles

I said a few posts ago I mentioned how Chip and Alli went outside to play in the snow and break off bits and chunks of icicles.

Alli fell in love with them.

She thought Maggie needed to see (and lick) some too.

Last night as I watched our local news they did an article on the City of Columbus and their policies on hanging (and falling) icicles and who's responsible for any injuries that might occur to a victim of an icicle landing on their heads.

Oddly enough the landlord/owner of any building has zero responsibility.
Zero responsibility to knock down any forming icicles, and zero responsibility to any injury claims.

The reasoning?

The city argues that since people obviously know that it is cold, icy, snowy, and such... it is their own responsibility to look up and see if there is an icicle over head.

Now.... I understand this logic, however, how the heck am I supposed to open (and close) my front door without getting knocked unconscious, or the most positive scenario of that would be getting a new piercing somewhere random on my body.

Yes, I know there is icicles, but I also know there are laws about bringing my child to school and feeding my children (which requires a trip to the store)... but how am I supposed to leave my house if there are little knife shaped icicles hovering two stories above my front door?

I think the only thing I love about icicles is getting mesmerized by them. I can get lost in my own little world watching icicles form drip by drip from my window.......
drip. drip. drip.
(This is the scary sight that hovers directly above our front door)

(This is the view of our neighbor's back door. Chip is modeling his awesome icicle balancing skills. He did think about becoming a circus performer at one point..... j/k.... I hope.)

To attack the killer icicles hanging above our heads, Chip decided the most effective way of getting them down (without breaking windows) would be to throw a large plastic laundry basket up in the air and knock them down.

Alli thought it was hilarious.

She even got body slammed by one such icicle.
(No worries, Chip put it on Alli, it didn't fall on her causing her to crash into the ground.)

These bad boys were pretty wide too!

I guess that Alli is a pretty well adjusted kid to the thought of death.... as she embraces icicles lovingly (right underneath our front door).

Jack-o'-lantern

October has come early this year. We have in our house our own personal Jack-0'-lantern!

Alli just lost tooth #5.

She is now speaking with a lisp. It cracks me up.

(Reminds me of when I was in grade school and almost had the same smile. My brother started calling me 'Fang'. Let's just say it caught on with the neighborhood children.)

Eye of the Beholder

I love to look at the Gymboree website and see all the adorable matching outfits that one can purchase for their children.

You all know the kinds of children I'm talking about. They are the ones that are spic and span clean, freshly wiped face still glowing, every hair on their head immaculately placed with a coordinating bow or headband. They are also the type of children who don't really care what they are wearing, so their mothers can put on the cute sweaters and stripped tights along with the button up collard shirts and the skirt that most kids would find bothersome.
They are Magazine children.

My two daughters have always expressed opinions as to what they will wear. They are known as Bother children.
Everything bothers them. The pants that are too tight (aka: Jeans), the socks don't feel right across the toes, any shirt with a button adorning it might as well be adorned with Kryptonite, the skirts are too itchy, etc... etc... First thing in the morning I lovingly brush my children's hair and place cute little pig tails (with adorable hair bows) or cute headbands on them, only to find that less than 10 minutes later the hair style has been pulled out due to discomfort of some sort. It just bothered them.

I decided a long time ago that there were certain battles that I would pick, and others that I would let get run over by a Mac Truck.

One of the battles I choose to wave my white flag at is that I let my children pick out their own clothes.

Some mothers call me crazy, and most people give me looks as I stroll with my children through the stores, but at least I know my morning was at an hour shorter- as I wasn't wasting that extra hour begging, pleading, and yelling at my children to put on what I wanted them to put on. (Usually a matching outfit.)

On Sunday, Alli looked absolutely marvelous sporting an orange sherbet colored butterfly skirt (actually found on clearance at Gymboree, of all places) a light olive green shirt (with a beautiful jeweled flower on the chest), and she finished off the outfit wearing royal purple tights that had gray polka dots everywhere. She was one classy girl. I think the only thing she was missing was the feather boa and glittering tiara. (I have yet to see the spiritual benefits of her wearing those items to church.)

I decided that today I would document how lovely Maggie looked as she accompanied me to Archivers (a FABULOUS scrapbooking store).

I brushed her hair. I promise.
Five minutes later, she came back with a lovely cherry patterned head band on. She refused to let me fix the headband so it would go nicely on her head.

Beautiful woodland creature pants, purple and light blue stripped socks, and the lovely Minnie Mouse polka dot shoes that she refuses to take off.

Don't forget to top off the outfit with a hot pink and orange tiger shirt (that sparkles).
To really add oomph to the outfit, one must be cramming one's face full of not one, but two chocolate doughnuts (swiped from the table as I was putting a 'must have' piece of paper in my basket.)

I know that everyone is probably jealous of me as I walk hand in chubby little hand with this charming little girl.

Someday

Someday I will have perfect patience with my children.

Someday I will have a dishwasher.

Someday I will have a Better Homes and Garden's worthy home (and garden). {A Country Living home is equally acceptable}

Someday I will see my toes again.

Someday I will have weekly mani/pedi's. (or at least bi-monthly).

Someday I will go on a honeymoon with Chip.

Someday my load of laundry will go from 2 hours to complete, down to 30 minutes. (I've seen the commercials, so I know it's possible)

Someday I will be the someone that people can say "Wow! she has it all together! How does she do it?" (There are women in my church that I totally feel this way about.)

Someday I will have a cat that doesn't vomit 200+ times a day.

Someday I will have my own scrapbooking/quilting studio.

Someday I will have specially set aside time to do said scrapbooking/quilting (minus children).

Someday I will have regular date nights with my husband.

Someday I will live by family.

Someday I will be able to pass up that Cherry Coke.

Someday I will have heated sidewalks/driveway so we never have to shovel.

Someday I can eat all the Taco Time that I want, any time I want it. (Oh! how I'm craving you)

Someday I will have more energy than what I need.

Someday I will watch the Star Wars trilogy without falling asleep. (This isn't high on my priority list- I just thought I'd add it for good measure.)

Someday I can be of service to another.

Someday I might be able to jump on a trampoline (without peeing my pants)

Someday my boobies will be pointed towards the sun and not my toes. (With the help of a very nice plastic surgeon).

Someday I will enjoy exercising.

Someday I will stop coveting what others have.

Someday I'll have a California King size bed to stretch out on- and not a full size bed.

Someday I will be able to go to a museum and enjoy all of the art (instead of wondering what the heck they were thinking of painting a small red circle on a ginormous plain white canvas- heck- I can do that.)

Someday I will live on a street in which none of my neighbors enjoy the finer music of Rap.

Someday my food storage will rival any grocery store.

Someday I will have peace and quiet. (although, it will probably bother me then.)

Someday my children will be like that of the Brady Bunch. (only not as many.)

Someday I might have Alice (from the Brady Bunch.)

Someday the 'Poof" of Telesaur will happen.

Someday........

Someday.........

Until then........

I can enjoy dreaming.

I can enjoy the journey of being an imperfect parent.

I can enjoy things the way they are.

I can learn enjoy my trials in order to grow from them.

I can enjoy the intimacy of living in close quarters with my family (1000sq feet)

I can enjoy being Alice.

I can enjoy my life.

Too Much Snow

I am currently not well pleased at the amount of snow and ice that Columbus is getting right now. It hasn't stopped! I think we have over 2 1/2 feet of snow in our front yard. Our neighbor has icicles that were hanging two entire stories down!

Alli's school has been canceled both today and tomorrow.

For the first time in my life, I called off of work (for tomorrow). I figured if it was deemed too dangerous to send children to school, it was probably too dangerous for me to drive 13 miles to work on un-plowed roads. I'm feeling really guilty about it (I never, ever call off of work. It's just not my work ethic. Period.), but it's best to be safe than sorry.

Chip took Alli outside today to break down the icicles. I'll have to post pictures of that tomorrow (when I find what Chip did with the camera).

Maggie has said some funny things today.

First: I was sitting at the kitchen table and Mags came up and sat in a chair right beside me. She propped one little hand on her chin, and the other was tapping the table. I asked her what she was doing. She said "Waiting". "Waiting for what Maggie?" She then said "I'm waiting for those babies to come out!"
Second: Chip was giving the girls a bath time and was talking to the girls about bugs that grow in hair, like fleas. Chip said that Fleas like to live and grow on scalps. Maggie, being always right said "Nut-uh! I have BRAINS growing in my hair."
Third: We were playing Legos together and Maggie took a few blocks and said "I need to decorate these".... she then proceeded to put the little clear jewel type blocks on the top of the big Legos. Only my kid would "decorate" Legos.

Alli too has been funny the past few days.
First: Chip has been growing out his beard the past 2 weeks, and decided that he'd had enough. Alli saw that he had shaved it off and said "But dad! Why did you shave off your beard, you were so charming!"
Second: Alli has been way into playing the Wii lately. She's been doing those little training things on the Wii sports. Her goal in life is to get the highest scores possible. She LOVES getting them, and loves to show the off when she achieves them. (For example: When she got a 192 in bowling this morning, I think even our neighbors heard that she got that high score) This morning she wanted to show me another high score, but she wasn't quite sure what it was for. She took the 'Wii Fitness Age' test. How old does the Wii think Alli is? 80. She was quite proud. We all are.

Let's hope tomorrow cabin fever doesn't strike my children too badly tomorrow. (This will be day #5 of them stuck inside {aside from church on Sunday and a primary activity Saturday morning} I am trying to think of activities to do with them for tomorrow so neither one of us go entirely crazy.)

Stories from a Teller

Some people use tellers at a bank the same way they use a beautician. People love telling us their stories. It's one of my favorite parts of my job. I always thought people were for the most part normal..... but my eyes have been opened, and I now know that for the most part people are crazy. Gotta love um'. (For the record, I put myself in that 'crazy' category.)

This Saturday however, I got to hear to hear something that frankly disturbs me. I am truly baffled.

This man got in front of my teller window, who I could tell has lived a rough life. He had tattoos covering most of his face, neck, sleeves down his arms, etc... and most we gang related. Being a teller who likes to actually use customer service and tries to make a connection with each client in front of me, I asked him what he was going to do for Valentine's Day. He said that he'd probably do something with his kids. I asked him how many kids he had. He answered that he had 4. I asked him what were the age ranges of his cuties, and he answered that his oldest was almost 16 and youngest was 3. I started asking him how it was to have a teenager with all of the raging hormones, etc. He said it was a little rough, as last summer his son (Who lives with his mother in New Jersey) called him and said that he was in the middle of a pregnancy scare with his girl friend. My client then said that he wasn't ready to be a grandfather yet, so it as a little scary for everyone.

It was about this time in our conversation that I was scanning this client's identification and noticed his date of birth. I almost dropped my jaw. This man was born in 1982. He is a year younger than I am! This means, that he fathered his son when he was 12. What the....!!?!?! Can you imagine being a grandparent at the ripe old age of 27?! I wish there was a tactful way that I could probe him and question him on that situation, but alas, there was none I could think of on the spot. Darn.

If his son does happen to have a successful deposit of his seed, and makes this man a grandfather- this man has the potential in his lifetime to be a great-great-great grandpa.... by the time he's like.... 50. :)

I just thought I'd share that story.

May it serve all of us a gentle reminder to talk to our children about morals and condoms.

Knowing

I feel guilty knowing. It's like I opened up a present that I shouldn't have, and now I'm stuck with the knowledge of it until the big day.

What is it that I'm feeling guilt over? Knowing the babies genders.

I wrote this post back in November saying how we wait to find out genders, and my thoughts on it.

Chip and I have always said that if we had multiples, that it would be the one situation in which we'd find out what the babies genders were. We never thought it'd be a situation that would actually happen to us... just one of those 'far fetched' things... like saying "What would happen if you won a million dollars?"... you never think you ever will. Ever.
(Although our situation would be totally cooler if we did win a million dollars on top of having twins.... hehehe)

When I did find out that there was not one, but two babies growin' inside of me, I instantly wanted to know what gender they were. Two boys was our answer. We were excited.... and yet, at the same time, knowing the genders wasn't as fun as the big surprise at the end of the game. I feel like I cheated somehow. I feel for lack of a better word, I feel 'dirty'.... I have no idea why people like knowing the gender before hand! I feel so guilty knowing it.

Yes, you could argue that it's easier to prepare for d-day. You can say all you want how it's a surprise no matter when you hear the news of the gender (either at 20 weeks pregnant, or right after you deliver), but folks... I am here to tell you- Not knowing is way better. So much more fun. If you have never waited until D-day to find out what the baby is... I would strongly urge you to wait to find out. It's so much more. More anticipation. More excitement. Just... More.

(I'm not saying in anyway, shape, or form that we are not excited to have these to little boys coming into our family, they are going to rock!...... I'm just a little sad that we didn't wait for the surprise until the end.)

Stuff- Random- Gotta love it.

First I'll start with the exciting news: I am pregnant. hahaha... actually the news was that: I do not have gestational diabetes! Woot!

Friday I was pacing around all morning waiting for my call saying that I had it. When I hadn't heard from the Dr's yet by 3:30, I started getting a little panicked. I called. My Dr's nurse said "Um, I'm not sure if they told you or not, but if nothing is wrong, we don't call you." To which I said "But, I'm supposed to have it, are you sure that it's my results you are looking at??". She started laughing and asked why I was "supposed" to have GD. I told her all of my concerns/worries and even the Doctor's premonitions. She said "The normal sugar levels after a glucose test are 140 and below. You are at 123." A-mazing folks.

I'm not putting all of my chickens in one basket yet... As soon as I get the diabetes cookbooks from the library, I am going to start incorporating them into my daily life. Can't ever be too careful, right?

---------------------------------------------------------------------

On Tuesday I took a 'nap' on the chair while Maggie was watching a movie. She always sits on my lap and rests with me while I snooze a minute. Well, Apparently, my light snooze turned out to be a coma sleep somehow. When I finally woke up I noticed Maggie was looking a little more Amazon crazy than usual. I know that she didn't let me 'do' her hair in the morning, but I know I brushed it (thus making her a frizz ball.) There was something I couldn't put my finger on.

When Chip was cleaning up her Lego mess with her that evening, he found a clump of hair. Maggie's hair. Laying among the Legos. He asked her about it, and she proudly said that she did cut it out... wasn't she beautiful? We didn't find any more hair, so after a nice talk about no cutting hair, she was put to bed without any further thought.

Later that night, Chip and I moved the ottoman that goes by the chair. Between the ottoman and the chair was a HUGE amount of chopped little Maggie hairs. When I combined them in my hands, it filled up both of my fists. No wonder why I thought she looked a little Amazon.

In the morning, I combed her hair with more scrutiny to see the damage. Amazingly enough, she actually did a pretty decent job. She framed her face quite well! I still need to take her to an actual hair stylist to even some things out, but I can take Mags in public as-is and not be embarrassed.

----------------------------------------------------------------------

Today I added to my resume' on my trek to win the title of 'The Meanest Mom'.

I threw away all of Alli's candy from her Valentine's Day party at school. In front of her.

She was ticked.

I guess that's what happens when you are a little litter bug and leave wrappers and lollipop sticks all over.

----------------------------------------------------------------------

Valentine's Day has never been a big thing between Chip and I.

Our first V-day was 2 months after we got married. We were so poor that I don't think we did anything. Our second V-day, it was my first day back to work from having Alli. She was 8 weeks old. We were too tired to do anything.... and didn't trust anyone with our precious new little girl to have them babysit. I think it just lead to a pattern that repeated itself for the next 6 year's of V-days. This, being our 9th together was shaping up quite the same.

Last night, as I walked out the door to go to Target to get some supplies, Chip said "Why don't you pick yourself something special from me for Valentines." So, I did.

I got a blender.

Ours died this past summer, and I have either forgotten to get one at the store or haven't found one that I liked that didn't cost $100+.

Romantic huh?

But wait... there's more!

Today Chip went out and got me something that I've been longing for, for about 3 months. I used and abused our old one non-stop. It died. I cried. I have been feeling empty ever since.

He got me a new CD player for my kitchen/dining area. I listen to books on CD non stop. It's a way for me to be entertained and "read" books while I can still be a productive person. Since I spend most of my time in the kitchen area (cooking, cleaning, quilting, scrapbooking, cleaning some more...etc....) It's a perfect place to put the CD player.

I feel at peace again. A huge sigh of relief. I've been bored in the kitchen area for at least 15 weeks. I feel like I can now have peace when I do my crafting/cooking/cleaning.

Chip is my Romeo.

Worry Wart

Yesterday, on top of feeling like the newest member of the beluga whale community, I was also participating in a ritual known to most as excessive worrying. I was worrying over everything and anything. My stress level was mile high, my anxiety was bigger than a mommy beluga, and on top of that I was pms-ing maternity style.

I was so on edge over the glucose test that I took this morning. Even though I have yet to get my official results back from the doctor, I am pretty certain that I do have Gestational Diabetes. (I have never had it before with either of my previous pregnancies....) This pregnancy has already thrown the anemic curve ball at me, so I'm on pills for that already. I then started fretting about getting toxemia (which I DID have with Alli).... it was so uncomfortable, very painful in my legs. Then came the fretting of an impending c-section- along with all the pain involved. Then I started worrying about how I would even take care of two tiny babies while recovering from major surgery. Then I started worrying about tandem breastfeeding. Then I started worrying about how I could still be a good mom to the girls and be actively a part of their lives. Worry, Worry, Worry... it went on and on...Snowballing out of control, AND THEN on top of all of the worrying, I started looking at pictures on facebook. It may not seem like a bad thing, but I was looking at my Aunt's pictures that she posted of Christmas. She spent Christmas with my parents, grandma, a cousin and his daughter, and his girl friend, and of course, my uncle. It got me missing home so badly. I started crying of course. The last time I went home was for my grandpa's funeral a year and a half ago. That was also the last time I saw my dad, brother, and all the rest of my family (my mom was able to come out last March). I was also worrying about my friend's health, and that of her sweet new little baby that was delivered yesterday. The baby's health was in serious decline. He had to have a trachea tube put in while in utero/mid c-section, in order to establish an airway- as he has a massive tumor on his neck and chest that is cutting off all air supply. His sweet little body was having a Co2 overload, which could cause his organs to shut off in a matter of hours. I was a serious blubbering mess.

On top of all of those emotions, my kids were out of control. It was like they could sense all of my anxieties and they fed off of it.

Chip put the kids to bed. Maggie refused to go to sleep until after 10pm. (She didn't just stay put in her room either.... )

Then I decided to come downstairs and join Chip in watching American Idol. (Group week.) Apparently Chip couldn't sense my emotional breakdown that I was having (or see my tear stained, mascara smeared face) and he said "So, Today I was looking at a blog of someone who was setting up a start up company, and right in the middle of it he got laid off by his "real" job. What would we do if I got laid off right now?" My heart sank into my stomach, my head started spinning, and I could barely get out the words "Have you been laid off?" Thankfully...oh thank my lucky stars, he said he wasn't. He just started thinking of a plan B just in case. Chip is in his 3rd month of employment with a company that he was recruited to join, he telecommutes, so most people he works for will never know how truly awesome he is or his charming personality, right now... he's simply just 'The New Guy'. I was not in any state to think of a plan B. I was already thinking/worrying about too many things. I started crying again. I was overwhelmed. I didn't know how to get out of the barrel of blah I was in.

Chip finally saw the break down, he felt my desperation. He offered to give me a Priesthood blessing. (also click here for further definition.)

Instant peace. I love how no matter how stressed out or how many directions your emotions are pulling you, the Holy Ghost provides the sweetest peace and comfort. I love how completely I felt my Savior's love for me. I love how I KNEW that He knows me personally, He knows my babies that I am carrying, he loves them too.

After the blessing my worries went from Beluga status down to the size of a nerd candy. The weight of all of my burdens were lifted off of my shoulders. Even though I know that there are going to be complications in this pregnancy, I know that the Lord won't leave me. He has already blessed me with such an awesome doctor, and I know that my doctor will be able to take care of me in whatever arises.

Today as I went in for my blood test, I was calm, still feeling the sweet peace from the night before. Even when the nurse said that I was showing high protein levels in my urine... I didn't freak out. (I had major high protein levels when I had Toxemia before.....) My blood pressure is still fine. Thankfully. Now I am waiting for the call from the doctor tomorrow to hear the results of my glucose test. Luckily, I am still at peace. I even pre-requested diabetic cookbooks from the library today. Better to be prepared than not.

Tonight as I settle in, I am thinking about breaking open a Cherry Coke and eating the last piece of the most wonderful dessert pie ever, to bid them farewell for the next three months.

Beluga.

One of my favorite cartoon movies is Anastasia. I'm in love with Bartok the bat. (My mom and I would just crack up watching this movie together..... and we love to randomly quote the movie too....) In the movie there is a scene where Dimitri (the love interest) is trying to teach Anya (Anastasia) how to dance and be proper. He hands her a dress that is 10 sizes too large for her and tells her to put it on. She then looks under the skirt of the dress, Dimitri asks her what she's looking for. She says "The Russian Circus, I think it's still in there!".

That is how I felt this morning as I was putting on my maternity tent- I mean, top.

It didn't help that as soon as Alli got up and came into the bathroom where I was getting ready for the day she said "Wow! Mom, your tummy is HUGE!!!" wide eyes and all. I just looked at her and said "Why do you think that is, Alli?". To which she replied "Because you have TWO babies in there..... (long pause)..... and, you ate too many treats.".

Thanks, Alli.

This is the official picture of the bump, as of this morning.

Too bad I can't accurately portray my waddle through a picture. You'd be impressed.

(Yes, that is part of my necklace in the picture... not a freakishly purple grape.... and don't worry, the necklace did, in fact match my tent.)

The weather outside was frightful this morning. The snow has been dumped in Columbus. School was canceled. Wind was biting. I felt bad as I dropped my overly tired children off at Michelle's house this morning. 6 children (hers -1 + mine + her nephew) locked inside all day because it's too cold to play outside = a very scary situation and a potential visit to a mental hospital (or a Pedicure place). Michelle- if you need me to drive you, Just say when.

The chairs at work sit as tall as trees. Maybe very small trees, but still trees. It takes me some extra oomph to get up and down all day long. I almost dread hearing my name put into a question form.... "Breezi???" It usually means another climb down - and up again from my perch. Finally I was exhausted from the trek- I am not a lumberjack. I spoke up " Guys, you are going to have to find another person to do all of this stuff..... I am entering into my beached whale status. " To which one of my male counterparts said "Since you've opened that can of worms- which type of whale are you? Humpback? or Beluga?". I answered "Beluga, of course..... I'm now known for my eggs too." Glad I could clear that up.

It's been a good day.

Unflattering All Around

Why am I feeling like at this very moment the fashion police are standing behind the nearest tree, just waiting for me to walk out the door, so that they can put a burlap bag over my head, stuff me in an unmarked white van (no windows), and take me away so that they can prevent the world from any more damage that my uber non-fashionable clothes have already caused. We're talking the burning out of people's retinas.

(I don't think even Oprah can even help me now..... )

I am wondering when my children will request that I no longer go out in public with them.

I wonder when Alli will request to be dropped off a block away from school, just so her friends won't have to see my wardrobe.

Sigh.... I guess no matter what you wear when you are pregnant, you aren't going to look 'cool' (Unless your name is Gwen Stafani.)

Good thing I can look forward to a day in the near future when I can wear my super flattering mom jeans. You know, the one's with a waist band right at my belly button.

Lego Overload

A few posts ago, I mentioned that Legos have gotten a little out of hand at our house.

What all started as a harmless birthday present, has now taken over my world.

Chip and his brother, Jeff have gone to the Lego store three times this past week. They have never come back empty handed.

Maggie has spent hours playing with these little colorful blocks.

Chip and Jeff have also spent countless hours building together. Jeff bought Darth Vader's TIE Fighter. Go Team Kohrman!

Chip even built this happy little space ship all by himself.
We're so proud.

Alli playing with about half of the Legos.
She always claims the dog. Maggie never even had a chance.....

I guess I shouldn't complain about all the Legos floating around. It keeps everyone happy and entertained.... and for the most part.... pretty quiet.

I love to see how their little brains (and big brain) work.
I love to see what they come up with to build.

(On a different note: Maggie is starting to draw letters and she recognizes what a few of them 'stand' for. She knows the 'M' is for Maggie, 'N' is for Nunnums, and 'J' is for Uncle Jeffie, and 'A' is for Alli. I love that she is picking up on these things! She's also way excited about her new found talents.)

Wrongful Doodle 2

I guess that I should add to the previous post:

We do not know if this girl in the article was a good or bad kid. We do not know if this was her first offense or 300th offense. We do not know if this was 'The last straw" measure that was taken. We don't know if this girls parents were enabling the behavior or not. We don't know if this girls parents are upstanding citizens, or crime centered law breakers.

As a parent, if this were my child, I would want to be included in the decision. Yes, I would understand there would be ramifications at school, but there would most certainly be ramifications at home too........ I would hope that school officials would see that Chip and I are actually responsible parents and that we instill good values in our children, and would trust us to take care of the situation in a swift manner.

I also think this girl should have known better. It is one thing to have a 3 year old draw on walls and make them "pretty" (as I have had two artistic children who have made their bedroom wall ohh so beautiful), and quite another thing all together to have a teenager who knows right from wrong drawing and vandalizing school property. Make the punishment fit the crime. Handcuffs was a bit extreme, however the lesson learned was not.

From the perspective of someone who only has little ones at home... thinking of only things that little kids do... I can see the sense of injustice. However, this was not a little kid, so should she get a little slap on the wrist like a little kid. My parents are foster parents to teenage children, and have been doing so since I graduated from HS. I see first hand what the consequences are when you don't parent your children. Kids need direction and need to learn consequences from their actions. Your kids do not, nor will they ever benefit from not learning right from wrong. Children need their parents to be actual parents, not fluffy fun best friends. It makes me more than upset when parents defend children who do make wrong choices. "Well my child couldn't/wouldn't ever do such and such".

......... and in the words of Forrest Gump "That's all I got to say about that".

The Wrongful Doodle

I really need to learn not to read things that will ruffle my feathers before I work.

My mind was having irrational yelling matches at the stupid people's comments, and the worst part: These people will never hear my rant, and they will never change their opinion... because they are just silly like that.

What did I read, you ask? I was on MSN.com and there was an article that says "NYC student arrested for Doodling on desk". It of course caught my interest.

The gist of the story is that a 12 year old girl in NY doodled "Lex was here 2/1/10" and "I love my friends Abby and Faith" on her school desk. This girl got arrested, handcuffed, and drug down to the police station. Her punishment: 8 hours of community service, a book report, and an essay on what she learned from this experience.

I decided to hop on over to the "discuss this story" link . I was shocked at the comments! People were sticking up for the girl. They were bashing the school officer, the police station, and saying that a lawsuit needs to be made... because it was wrongful to do that to a kid.

Um..... Hello?

The girl was vandalizing school property. Vandalizing something is a crime. Black and White. No where does it say that it's only considered bad graffiti if it doesn't have happy sayings and drawings of unicorns on it. (She didn't draw a unicorn, I am trying to make a point.)

When are people going to step up and realize that if we teach our kids lessons of right and wrong... that maybe, just maybe, our criminal justice system wouldn't be such a joke. Just Maybe our jail cells wouldn't be over stuffed and using up our tax dollars.

Case and Point:

When my brother was about 9 years old, he stole candy bars from K-Mart. My mom found the wrappers in his room days later. The first step she took was to bring my brother to K-Mart, where he had to apologize for stealing, and then made to pay the price of the candy bars. The second place she took my brother? Jail. Yep. Jail. (She had connections, as she was a dispatcher for the state police.) The officers took him through the booking process, brought him back to a jail cell and made him sit in it.

I was about 7 when all this happened, and I remember my brother crying so hard that he had a bloody nose. You want to know what my brother and I learned? Stealing is a crime. If you are a thief, you will go to jail. End of story.

Guess what? Neither my brother or I have ever stolen again. It put quite an impression on me about the rules and about laws. My brother and I have grown up to be law abiding citizens and we are responsible parents to our children and teach them the lessons of right and wrong.

Now days if some parent did what my mother did, I'm sure that Child Protective Services would be called... as it would be considered 'abusive'.

(I am also in no way saying that if your kid does something wrong it's an immediate trip to the police station..... make sure of the point and lesson you want to teach your kid, and follow through. I have yet to bring Alli to the police station for hitting her sister.... although, it could be on my list one day... hehe)

I think that this girl's parents should be thankful that people actually cared enough to punish her, and teach her those lessons. I also think those 8 hours of community service should be spent in the school cleaning off every single desk spic and span... (after all, the punishment needs to fit the crime.)

Anyway, I spent the whole car ride to work yelling (in my head) at the people making comments on that post. Then when I got to work, I had to vent to my co-workers. Luckily I have co-workers that agreed with me 110%, so that helped some of the anger go away.

Goosfraba (repeat 3 times)

{that's from the movie 'Anger Management}

Think about what would you have done if :
A) This was your kid.
B) You were the teacher.
or
C) You were the officer at the school.

Snow Day

Today I called Alli's school and falsely told them how sick (cough, cough)she was, so she wasn't going to be there today. :) We'll call it a mental health day.

Since Nunnums and Uncle Jeff were here, (and we don't know for how long) I just wanted to maximize the time that the kids got to spend with them. Lucky that I called Alli out sick.... as we've been pounded with the fluffiest snow! (We've gotten about 6 or 7 inches so far.... and no signs of it stopping until tomorrow afternoon!) Hello Snow Day.

I personally am done with it.... but Alli is my true blue snow child. She would play outside for hours and hours before coming in. Maggie is a child of my own heart, and only likes it for a few minutes. Also lucky for me is having a Mom-in-law that is willing to freeze her bum off to let the kids play outside. They built two snow forts and a cute little snow man together.

My little snow children.

Nunnums, Alli, and Maggie building their Snow Guy. They were so proud.
I gave them grapes, blueberries and carrots to decorate him with. The blueberries died when they were trying to be smooshed into their button places.

Alli loves him. She keeps peaking out the window to check on him.
It was right after the snowman was built that Maggie called it quits. Pink Cheeks and all.

Alli needed to play in her fort for a little longer.

Nunnums and Maggie came in to snuggle up and get warm, and enjoy some Mike and Ike's together.

Jeff and Chip went to the Lego store again today (they got new Lego's yesterday too!)
My house is swimming in Legos! Jeff got Darth Vader's Tie Fighter kit. The boys are currently going to town on it. I'll have to take pictures of it when it's done.
Maggie and Alli have been playing with Lego's non-stop too.

Today has been considerably better than yesterday for me.
I haven't had a single melt down (thank goodness) and I was able to stick to my menu. :)

(Sorry this post was scatterbrained. For some reason with so much activity going on around here my brain can't focus enough to make coherent sentences.)

Not my virtue.

Today Patience just wasn't in the cards for me.

My kids are on 'perma-terrified' mode. (and rightly so.......)

Last night I slept in the girls room (mistake #1.) We have the air mattress set up in there right now. It was where Nunnums slept when she visited, and each night since she left, it's held a little body. I thought I'd try it out to see how it would do with my achy self. I am getting a little tired of sleeping down stairs by myself. (That cat doesn't even come visit anymore..... ) I thought that if I could sleep on the air mattress, that we could pull it into our bedroom and at least I'd get to sleep in the same room as Chip.

My experiment actually was a good one. I slept awesome. (For the few hours that I did get to sleep, anyway.)

Until a few minutes before 6am, when Maggie had her first 'potty in the bed' accident in 3 weeks. She wasn't happy at all. She was tired and grumpy. She cried and was loud, and it woke up Alli... who was then in a rotten mood and started acting not like a 3 year old... but like a uber sassy/grumpy 16 year old... which then got me into a rotten mood.

After that drama, our day started unfolding (Keep in mind... Alli wakes up no earlier than 7, and Maggie usually doesn't get up until almost 8.) Grump City, folks... that's what I dealt with.

Alli wanted to make her lunch. PB&J. Not so hard right? I gave specific instructions that she was not to make a mess... or if she did, that it needed to be cleaned up. I got into the shower, which because I didn't let enough time lapse between my shower and Chips... it was nice and brisk. That makes me not happy. I like to scald my skin off in order to loosen my achy muscles. (In 'Poof' house... I am having my personal 100 gallon hot water tank, with no child-proofing 110 degree limit put on it. I will be a lobster every day, and I will love it.) I finished getting ready and we had to rush out the door to get Alli to school.

Getting home from dropping Alli off turned out to make me rather upset. I just had to leave a fabulous book on CD in the car (at a really, really good spot), and then I walked into a house with peanut butter smeared everywhere. Kitchen counters, sinks, floors, the downstairs bathroom had globs of peanut butter, the carpets had peanut butter, the mirror even had it smeared on it. Keep in mind, the only time I went downstairs this morning was to grab my purse and keys and run out the door with Alli in tow. Apparently my warnings to Alli about not making a mess didn't sink in. Neither did the part of cleaning up after herself. I checked out the big bottle of JIF, (which was just opened up yesterday) only to discover that it was half way empty. Grr. (My child will eat PB&J for every meal if we'd let her.... so this was like.... a solid 10 meals wasted!)

The day just got worse. Maggie was a turd. (can you say that about a kid.... yep. I think you can.) Snappy, irritable, bossy, disagreeable..... on TOP of her normal 3 year old quirks. The stinker.
I found myself dreaming about selling that child on E-Bay again. It was a good dream.

Finally a wonderful silver lining: My mom-in-law called and said they were on their way back down to visit us! That made me happy!. It also made time drag by like nobodies business. I could not wait to get a break from these little people.

Then darkness settled upon Kohrmanland once more, as Alli had a bad day at school. (She fell and gashed her knee open and it ripped a rather large whole in her pants too). When Alli has a bad day.... the whole house has a bad day. She makes sure of it. Fits galore thrown about.
We also got a call saying for me not to make dinner, as Jeff (Chip's bro) wanted to eat Chipotle. Under normal circumstances that would be a happy call. I didn't have to make dinner. However, I started crying with frustration. This past weekend I sat on the computer for 2-3 hours looking over recipes and food menus trying to make menus for our family. I HATE making menus. It stressed me out. I went shopping for all of the food and everything is done. I made menus for 6 weeks. My goal was to stick to them. I WANT TO STICK TO THEM VERY BADLY! I want to get off of the fast food lane and the last minute 'what's for dinner' lane. I thought that I could put in 2-3 hours of time... if it would save 6 weeks of frustrations of last minute dinner eating. I started crying again. I was officially frustrated and 'done'.

Luckily Chip was there, he was kind enough to tell me how hormonal I was being.

Anyway.... more drama happened after that. More of my ugly-no-patience-monster came out. (I might have even scared the babies.... )

Finally Chip's mom came to the rescue. She has patience up the wa-zu. I love her.

I'm hoping that tomorrow my virtues can be re-aligned and patience can again be one of them.

If not..... I might be a hormonal mess again, and admit myself into the psych ward.

(It's quiet there...... right?)
